Fender Custom Shop '63 Telecaster Relic - USA 2007

The Fender Telecaster is the blueprint for the modern electric guitar. Simple, elegant and endlessly versatile, it’s been in continuous production since 1950 and remains the working musician’s gold standard. By the early ’60s, the Tele had evolved into its most refined form: a comfortable slim neck profile, rosewood fingerboard, and the unmistakable snap and midrange punch that define great vintage Fenders.

This 2007 Custom Shop ’63 Telecaster Reissue captures that golden-era feel and tone, finished in a stunning Silver Sparkle relic that has just the right amount of tasteful wear and patina. The lightweight body, rosewood slab fingerboard and vintage-accurate neck carve give it a broken-in, effortlessly playable feel from the first note.

Upgraded in 2019 with a set of Kinman Broadcaster pickups, it now delivers classic Tele twang with the added benefit of near-silent operation — crisp, articulate and dynamic without the usual single-coil hum. The guitar retains all the resonance and character of a Custom Shop build, while the noiseless Kinmans make it an exceptional stage and studio instrument.

Frets and hardware show only the light, tasteful ageing applied by the Custom Shop; playability is superb with a comfortable medium-low action and a lively, resonant unplugged tone. A beautifully built, road-ready Tele with authentic early-’60s vibe and modern practicality.
