Vintage Fender Twin Reverb 2 x 12" Combo - USA 1976-77

Few amps embody clean headroom and big Fender tone quite like a Silverface Twin Reverb. Built in Fullerton during the CBS era, this is a mid–late 1970s example (circa 1976–77) - confirmed by its A77xxx chassis serial, Schumacher transformers dated late ’73, and Oxford 12" speakers coded 465-424 (42nd week of 1974). Fender often used earlier stock parts during this period, and this amp sits right at the point where classic Twin power met mid-’70s CBS production.

With 85 watts of 6L6GC muscle, lush tube-driven reverb and that unmistakable Fender vibrato, it’s the archetypal clean platform - huge, rich and punchy with endless headroom. Pedals love it, and cranked it delivers that big, glassy American breakup players chase.

This one has lived a life: some honest exterior wear, a few scuffs and dings on the tolex, light oxidation on metal parts, but nothing unexpected for a 40+ year-old workhorse. It’s fitted with caster wheels for easier handling - a welcome touch for a Twin’s size and weight. Recently serviced and sounding fantastic, it’s ready to plug in and deliver that huge, shimmering Fender clean tone with authority.
